Bangladesh cut travel cost to please India, claims BNP:
The BNP says a 'morally weak' Bangladesh government has cut travel cost for Indian vehicles shipping items to 'please India'.
BNP Spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon told reporters that the move was "hurting" Dhaka's interests while benefitting Delhi.
He said a between administrative meeting on Wednesday ignored a NBR recommendation to constrain a cost of Tk 10,000 on compartments India would ship to its states through Bangladesh.
"The NBR proposed to charge Tk 1,000 for each ton with the exception of they (the policymakers) passed on it down to Tk 580," he ensured.
Using Bangladesh's property course would on a very basic level reduce partition and extra costs for India in transhipping stock to its north-eastern states.
"Bangladesh could have grabbed from the money related point of interest India will acknowledge [from here]," he said, including, "We're simply asking for our basically share."
The council has been expressing that both the countries would benefit by improved common accessibility.
